Luke 23
Isn’t it interesting that our human tendency to choose the lie that leads to death over the truth that leads to life is the very thing God used to implement His plan to restore us to Himself. He used our very nature to provide us the way to overcome that nature. God’s ways are definitely not our own!
John 18-19
Betrayed, arrested, falsely accused, despised, and mistreated. Abandoned and denied by His followers. Beaten, abused, traded for a criminal, and subjected to a horrible, wholly undeserved execution. How much more did Jesus suffer on my behalf? And what kind of kingdom is built on the apparent defeat of its king? Yet this is what Jesus said that He was born for. Humbling.
