Josh. 19-21
“Not one word of all the good promises that the LORD had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.” (Josh. 21:45). God keeps His word in spite of us – we can take comfort in that fact!
Luke 11:29-54
“But give as alms those things that are within, and behold, everything is clean for you.” (Luke 11:41). Attitudes and motives!! Our actions matter little if we are doing them for the wrong reasons (like doing them ‘for show’, I mean – not putting down the “action before attitude” philosophy, because at least with that you are attempting to develop the proper attitudes and motives, which indicates good motive in itself). It is what comes out of the heart that matters, and if we truly allow God’s Spirit to fill our hearts, then we can give freely and abundantly of the fruits of the Spirit that are cultivated there.
