Day 21 – Job 32-33; Matt 14:1-21

Job 32-33

I don’t know what business Elihu has getting angry with everyone just because he thinks they are all wrong and because nothing has been resolved.  But he is.  And he, too, believes Job is in the wrong, but he seems to think that God is not so much punishing Job as speaking to him to give him a chance to repent and turn from his wicked ways so that God may save him.  Maybe sometimes there just is no satisfying answer, and we need to learn to be okay with that.

Matt. 14:1-21

Wow – Jesus had received bad news that surely weighed heavy on Him, so he tried to withdraw and spend some time alone to deal with his grief.  But no, the crowds followed – he was to have no moment of peace.  His response?  “…he had compassion on them…”.  He didn’t even send them away for dinner, but miraculously fed them. May I learn to deal with the unpleasantries of life, as Jesus did, with compassion.
